History of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel

Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel's Iron Man of India 'Statue of Unity is made in the dedication of the Iron Man Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, who served as the first minister of independent India. Sardar Patel is credited with making all 562 princely states the Republic of India in independent India - hence the name of the statue. The statue's opening date (October 31, 2018) is also the 143rd birth anniversary of Sardar Patel. Statue of unity on Sadhu Bet Island on the Narmada River. Vallabhbhai Patel was one of the leading leaders of the Indian independence movement and was responsible for the unification of 562 princely states to form India's modern political frontier.

The Statue of Unity is a huge statue of Indian politician and freedom activist Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel (1875–1950), who was the first Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister of independent India and a prominent follower of Mahatma Gandhi during the non-violent Indian. Independence movement. Patel was highly respected for his leadership in uniting the 562 princely states of India as a single union of India.
The Statue of Unity is built-in the dedication of the iron man Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, who served as the first Home Minister of independent India. At 182 meters, the statue is 23 meters higher than China's Spring Temple Buddha statue and nearly twice the height of the Statue of Liberty (93 meters high) in the US.

With the inauguration of the Statue of Unity dedicated to India's iron man Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, India entered the world's highest statue club.

Dedicated to one of the founding fathers of India, and the country's first deputy prime minister, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel stands on the Statue of Unity, Narmada, about 100 kilometers southeast of the Sardar Sahar Dam in Kevadia Colony of Vadodara.

P
rime Minister Narendra Modi unveiled the bill to build the world's tallest statue at 182 meters, which leaves China's Spring Temple Buddha at 153 meters. The project was awarded to Larsen & Toubro at a cost of Rs 2,989 crore, which started construction on 31 October 2014. The idea was to inaugurate the statue of Sardar Patel on 31 October 2018 on his 143rd birth anniversary. There was no increase in wrapped fuel, labor and materials over a period of 42 months. However, the statue of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel was first announced by Narendra Modi on 7 October 2010 at a press conference to commemorate his 10th year running as Chief Minister of Gujarat.

A Few Moments in the Life of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel

It was the women of Bardoli who first conferred the title of Sardar, led by Gujarati and leaders of most Indian languages. The Bardoli Satyagraha in Gujarat is considered a major episode of civil disobedience and rebellion in the Indian independence movement. After suffering from years of floods and famines, the farmers in the area were facing severe financial difficulties. He petitioned and appealed to the Governor of Bombay Presidency to reduce his taxes, but was instead asked to pay 30% more. With almost nothing to feed themselves and their families after-tax, the farmers now appealed to Vallabhbhai Patel to lead them to revolt. Patel first reminded him that refusing to pay taxes could lead to confiscation of his land and property and cause him to be jailed.
Prepared for the worst, the peasants of Bardoli Taduka were united and prepared to fight the government's injustice in a completely non-violent manner under Patel's leadership. As soon as the villagers stopped paying their taxes, the British Raj announced that they would crush the rebellion. Sending terrorists to terrorize and forcibly seize property from the villagers, the government soon began auctioning land and houses. But not a single man came from Gujarat or all over India to buy land. One village broke unity and paid taxes, so they were unstable. If someone buys confiscated land, they cannot get the labor to work on those lands. When members of the government in Bombay and across India began to resign and expressed open support for farmers - Raj had no choice but to agree on the terms of the farmers. Not only were all the seized land restored, but all taxes were also waived for the year, with a 30% increase in taxes, with an increase of one and two years. While Patel credited Mahatma Gandhi's teachings and farmers' resolve for victory, people across India recognized his significant leadership.

 Design and Construction

 a)           Design
Built as the world's tallest statue of its time, the Statue of Unity is designed as a symbol of India's engineering and technological capabilities. Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, suitable for the Iron Man of India, is credited with the merger of 560 princely states which we know as the Union Territory of India. The statue of Vallabh Bhai, built in a foundry in China, was designed by Indian sculptors, Ram Vanji Suthar, Padma Bhushan and Padma Shri for their contribution to the field of art. In his 40-year working life, he has created more than 50 memorial sculptures. Speaking of the Patel statue, his son, Anil Suthar, who is also a sculptor, described the pose - head up, a shawl from the shoulders, and hands set towards him as if he were to walk. Be Prepared - The person portrays the right character, his personality and irrational, irrational desire. After four years of work, the specifications of the structure stand out; the height is 240 meters from the base, the height is 58 meters, the statue is 182 meters.

b)           Construction

Ram Vanji Sutar is an Indian sculptor. He also designed the Statue of Unity, the tallest statue in the world with a height of 182 meters, the Spring Temple Buddha is over 54 meters. Ram Sutar's son, Anil Sutar, states that "expression, posture, and posture fixes dignity, confidence, iron as well as the kindness that elevates his personality. The head is up, a shawl waving over the shoulders and hands." is." If it is ready to move. "Initially three models of 3 ft. (0.91 m), 18 ft. (5.5 m) and 30 ft. (9.1 m) were built. Once the design of the largest model was approved, an extension citation stated 3D-scan. “Which lays the foundation for bronze-clad artists in a foundry in China”.

A consortium consisting of Turner Construction, Michael Graves & Associates and the Mein hart Group oversees the project. It took 57 months to complete - 15 months for planning, 40 months for construction and two months for handing over by the consortium. The total cost of the project was estimated to be ₹ 2,063 crore (equivalent to ₹ 25 billion or US $ 350 million) by the government. The first stage tender bids were invited in October 2013 and closed in November 2013.

Then Narendra Modi, acting as the Chief Minister of Gujarat, laid the foundation stone of the statue on 31 October 2013, on the 138th anniversary of Patel's birth. Built using more than 70,000 tons of cement, 18,500 tons of reinforcement steel bars, 6,000 tons of structural steel and 1,700 metric tons of bronze by more than 250 engineers and 3,400 labourers - twice the length of the Statue of Unity Statue of Liberty in Gujarat. United States of America. The statue was constructed by Larsen & Toubro and the state-run Sardar Sarovar Narmada Corporation Limited, which has a complex bronze work done by Jiangxi Touken Company, a Chinese foundry.
L&T employed over 3000 workers and 250 engineers to build the statue. The main body of the statue uses 210,000 cubic meters (7,400,000 q ft) of cement concrete, 6500 tons of structural steel and 18500 tons of reinforced steel. The outer façade is composed of 1700 tons of bronze plates and 1850 tons of bronze casing, including 565 macro and 6000 micro panels. In China, bronze panels were inserted at Jiangxi Tongying Metal Handicrafts Co. Ltd. (TQ Art Foundry) as suitable facilities were not available in India. The bronze panels for the workshop were transported by sea and then by road to the construction site where they were assembled.
